And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;2 Pet 2:5

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.Acts 13:46

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.John 3:19

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.John 3:36

And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.Gen 18:32

For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.Gen 19:13

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world John 12:47

When the People of Noah's Time rejected His preaching, they brought upon themselves a flood that overwhelmed and destroyed them. The relations of Lot were destroyed because they took the warnings of Lot with levity. The Sodomites would have saved themselves from the fire if they had received the angels of the Lord in peace.The Ninevites were saved because they heeded to the warnings of Jonah:

The Preaching of God's Word usually brings about 2 results:Salvation and Destruction:

When we accept the warnings sounded by God's people, we deliver ourselves from the destructive consequences of sin. When we reject the warnings of God's people and embrace the lies of the devil and his followers, we activate the destructive consequences of sin and open the floodgates of destruction and deceit in our lives. God destroys no one. God wishes that we all repent and come to repentance It is not God that destroys man. It is man that destroys and condemns Himself when he rejects the only Path to salvation: Jesus Christ and chooses to embrace his/her own self destructive ways:

For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.Prov 1:32-33
